A Closer Look at Your Eye Health
Regular eye exams are an important part of protecting your long-term vision, even when everything feels fine. At Warman Eyecare, we focus on more than just how clearly you see today. We look at the overall health of your eyes to help identify changes early and support your vision over time.
Most adults benefit from an eye exam every one to two years, depending on their needs and risk factors. Even small vision changes can build gradually, so routine care helps keep your prescription up to date and your eyes healthy.

Eye Health and
Early Detection
Many eye diseases develop slowly and without obvious symptoms in the early stages. Conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease can progress before noticeable vision changes occur.
That’s why comprehensive eye exams include screening for eye health conditions, helping us identify concerns early and guide next steps when needed.

What to Expect During Your Eye Exam
Your eyes play a key role in how you learn, work, and experience the world. During your exam, we assess how your eyes work together at near and far distances, along with depth perception, focusing ability, and overall visual function.
We also look at the internal health of your eyes using modern imaging and diagnostic tools. This helps us check important structures like the retina and macula, and monitor for early signs of eye disease.
After your exam, we take time to walk through your results with you, answer your questions, and make sure everything is clear before you leave.
Vision Changes and Digital Eye Strain
Vision changes can happen gradually, which means they are often easy to miss day to day. In some cases, eye strain or an outdated prescription may be contributing to headaches, fatigue, or difficulty focusing.
With increased screen time at work and at home, digital eye strain is also becoming more common. Symptoms can include tired eyes, neck discomfort, and reduced focus.
If you’re experiencing these concerns, we can help find ways to make your day-to-day vision more comfortable.

Ongoing Eye Care and When to Book
Most adults should have routine eye exams every one to two years, but your needs may vary depending on your vision and eye health. If you notice any changes in your sight, discomfort, or new symptoms, we are here to help.
We also see patients for specific concerns such as:
- Blurry vision at near or distance
- Eye strain or fatigue
- Dry, irritated, or uncomfortable eyes
Some urgent or medical eye concerns may be covered through provincial health programs, including infections, flashes or floaters, corneal injuries, or sudden vision changes. Certain groups, such as children, patients with diabetes, and those with specific medical needs, may also benefit from more frequent care.
Between visits, we are also happy to adjust or clean your glasses to keep them comfortable and working well. If you have any concerns or notice changes in your vision, book an eye exam so we can take a closer look.
